Making a booklet in Microsoft Word

STEP 1:

Launch the Page Setup dialog. You have to change the settings on Word before you can create your booklet. You can turn a document you've already written into a booklet, but it is best to create the booklet layout first and then put the content in.[2]
  • Find the Page layout tab. It should be located in the icon in the corner of Page Setup.

STEP 2:

Change the multiple pages to Book fold. This is in Page Setup under Margins. You'll go to the drop down tab, which will be on Normal and you'll change it to Book fold.

STEP 3:

Change your Gutter setting. While you don't have to do this, it's a good idea to change the Gutter setting from 0 to 1 so that words don't end up jumbled into the binding.

STEP 4:

Click okay once you've made your adjustments. You can get an idea of what the booklet is going to look like formatting-wise. From there you simply have to add the content (or make sure that content looks how you want it to look if you already had content).
  • You can change anything that doesn't look right and you can add anything that your booklet needs (like page numbers)

STEP 5:

Print your document. You will need to print on both sides of the paper, otherwise your booklet is going to end up with a lot of blank pages, which you don't necessarily want. You can have your printer do this automatically, or manually (which means you'll need to stand there and feed paper to the printer).
  • If you are manually feeding the paper to the printer make sure that you orient the pages properly. You do not want to end up with upside down pages in your booklet.

STEP 6:

Fold the booklet. Make sure that you put together the booklet with the corresponding pages. This is why it's a good thing to have page numbers. When you fold, it's a good idea to start by folding each page individually and then putting them together.
  • You can staple along the fold once you've folded the pages.

STEP 7:

Download good design templates. The above method is the most basic way of creating a booklet in Word, but you can find lots of cool design templates on the internet or through Word if you want something a little more creative or enticing.

                                                                 What is a primer?

The booklet is a brief writing that constitutes a visual and essential teaching aid. It is a manual for a student, and for the teacher a guide and a navigation map to learn and teach.

Steps to make a primer:

Step 1. Define the content

You should think about what topic to develop and explain in the areas that the manual is intended to apply.

Step 2. Collect information

It is necessary to document, in a logical way, every detail of the subject and the areas, for this it is recommended to carry out a preliminary study of each one.

Step 3. Structure it

Readable and logical writing for those who read it. It is also important to take care of spelling.

It must have a content: a cover, introduction, justification, objectives, theme, images, and conclusions.

Step 4. Report it

Once you have done it, the primary objective will be to spread its existence. You must work your communication strategy so that each collaborator is aware of it and give the tools for an easy access.

how is glass recycled?

Opinion of our partner Daniel:

SAN BONIFACIO DE LAS LANZAS

How is San Bonifacio?

The visit to the school San Bonifacio de las Lanzas It was an experience that pleased us to see that both the administrative branch of the school and teachers in charge received us hospitably that day. Besides, we saw the good structuring of the school and the right areas for recycling the garbage.

How is the recycling process?

The school has been developing activities of the PRAE (school environmental project) to strengthen the process of classification of solid waste and the recovery of solid waste. They have clean points and containers to store paper, cardboard and PET bottles (polyethylene terephthalate) and have a nursery space and a composting space.

Expectations

What I hope to achieve with this project at school is awareness about the import of recycling also to a good attitude of the youngest who participate in our project. Besides, I think it will be mutual learning where we all learn something important about the care of the environment.

Opinion about the visit of Fabian Prada to the San Bonifacio de las Lanzas School.

I am very excited to work with the children of this institution because I can improve my oral communication. We will start working with elementary students because our activities contain basic topics such as mathematical operations, numbers, geometric figures to improve the cognitive and psychomotor abilities of children in a different environment where we will interact with a foreign language such as English.

Our activities are made of recycled material, with this, we want to show children that with the material we use for our daily life can be reused in different ways, such as making crafts or, in this case, helping the intellectual growth of a human being.

To finish, I liked that each classroom contains its own small ecological point, I mean, there is a box reused to the students can dispose of their school waste, in the same space, it is classified if they are plastic or paper and then the cleaning staff takes it to an ecological point within the institution.

The opinion of the partner Maria Paula about her visit to Colegio San Bonifacio

I consider that the visit to the San Bonifacio school was very important because we can find out the main problems that appear at the time of recycling,  with this information we can create new ways for students are increasingly interested in the importance of recycling not only in the school, also in any environment in which they are.
I hope to make me understand very well with the students, learn the importance of recycling, and make it a lifestyle so that in the future, they teach it of such learnings to more people.

I hope through this project, first for all, learn about recycling to be able to generate a change in the environment where I live.

Report of our new member about his vision and his contribution to the project called Juan David Salazar Machado.

Since my English classmates integrated me into their supply, I have found a lot of motivation from them. The project is already of some importance and its approach is quite environmentalist.

This fascinates me since I am a mountaineer. and he positioned me in the position that we must preserve our environment, which feeds us and in turn gives us a roof.

This and many more reasons make the project have credibility and a fairly broad projection, and what better way to contribute to the environment than with the English foreign language. As a mountaineer and future tour guide, mastery of another language is too important and better in a contextualized field.
